The Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences Program at Princeton University, in association with NOAA’s Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory (GFDL), seeks a postdoctoral or more senior scientist. The successful candidate will apply a global chemistry-climate model (GFDL AM3 model) to investigate the interaction between biogenic VOCs and anthropogenic NOx in pre-industrial period, present-day, and future atmospheres. In collaboration with several scientists in the Atmospheric Chemistry and Climate group at GFDL, the research will focus on the organic nitrate chemistry (including isoprene and terpene oxidation at day and night). Applicants should have a Ph.D. in chemistry, atmospheric sciences, or related fields. A strong background in atmospheric chemistry modeling is preferred. The position is awarded initially for a one-year period and may be renewed for a second year depending on satisfactory performance.
