PROFILE

Her research focuses on biological technologies for treating wastewater, especially for nutrients removal. Her research has been dedicated to biological technologies for removing nutirents by utilizing novel heterotrophic nitrifying-aerobic denitrifying phosphorus removal bacteria which could simultaneously remove phosphorous, carbon and nitrogen (ammonia, nitrite and nitrate) under aerobic conditions. With this kind of bacteria, nitrogen removal efficiency is greatly improved and the biological process for treating wastewater is significantly simplified.
