Yao, Maosheng, Associate Professor with Tenure- new academic track at Peking University. Prof. Yao’s research mainly focuses on bioaerosol capture, detection, inactivation and exposure assessment, and most recently he is also working extensively on respiratory infection screening. As of now, Prof. Yao has published 48 peer-reviewed papers including 43 first or corresponding author ones, and won 3 national invention patents. Dr. Yao’s work was featured by a variety of authoritative news media including ACS Chemical and Engineering News, RCS Chemistry World, China Science Daily and Beijing Daily. His research is recognized by a Second Prize of “People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Science and Technology Progress Award” in 2012, and the Marian Smoluchowski Award in 2013 from GAeF in recognition of significant research contribution to aerosol science, and also the 2013 Asian Young Aerosol Scientist Award from AARA. Dr. Yao currently serves as a member of Vice Directors of China Air Microbiology Working Group, and a member of Vice Directors of Indoor Environment and Health Branch of Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences. In addition, Prof. Yao also serves an editorial board member for Journal of Aerosol Science and Atmospheric Environment.
