On September 20, 2023， the Mexican Higher Education Delegation, led by Mexico's Deputy Minister of Public Education, visited Peking University.

Part of the delegation members also visited the College of Environmental Sciences and Engineering (CESE). This visit provided the delegation with an in-depth look into CESE and its commitment to national and global environmental research.

LIU Yong, Dean of CESE, welcomed the delegation and introduced CESE's history, missions, environmental discipline, recent scientific achievements, labs and centers, and international cooperation.

During the visit, the delegation discussed topics such as global environmental governance and sustainable development with faculties from CESE, learned about the various research areas in the college, and gained a deeper understanding of the international scientific research collaboration on global environmental governance.

The delegation visited the laboratories in the Environment Building and gained a deeper understanding of the disciplinary orientation of CESE.

The delegation expressed great interests to strengthen bilateral cooperation in personnel training and environmental education through international summer camps, international visits, and student exchange programs in the future.
