In order to deeply study the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and learn and implement the Chinese path to modernization concept of "harmonious coexistence between man and nature", on October 30, 2022, the second party branch for 2021 doctoral students, undergraduate union party branch and student party branch of the Department of Industrial Economics, School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Peking University The Youth League Branch of the 2019 undergraduate industrial economics department jointly held a joint construction exchange meeting on "Promoting Green Development and Jointly Drawing a Low Carbon Campus" in the B121 Report Hall of the Environment Building. Zhang Hongfeng, Deputy Head of the Organization Department of the University Party Committee and Director of the Party School Office, Professor Wang Qi, Deputy Dean of the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Researcher Dai Hancheng, Director of the Department of Environmental Management, Wang Yiran, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Economics, Zhuang Chen, Assistant Professor, Ding Xue, Executive Deputy Director of the Student Industry Office, Zhang Yanan, Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee, Guan Li, Director of the Qingshan Science and Technology Fund of the US Youth League, and more than 90 students from both academies attended this activity. The meeting was hosted by Li Jiarui, secretary of the second party branch of 2021 doctoral students of the School of Environmental Science and Engineering.

     Zhang Hongfeng made an opening speech at the meeting. He said that the Organization Department of the University Party Committee has always attached great importance to the construction of the student party branch, and effectively played the role of a battleground. Through cross college and cross discipline student party branches' joint construction and communication, it has continuously deepened the understanding of scientific and technological knowledge and talent training practice, strengthened support for young talents, and made contributions to interdisciplinary research of Peking University. In the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, it was emphasized that we should actively and steadily promote carbon peaking and carbon neutralization, and accelerate the green transformation of the development mode. We hope that the student party branch will take this joint construction and exchange activity as an opportunity to serve the national development strategy, respond to the key needs of society, and lead Party members and comrades to be New Age Youth who have ideals, dare to take responsibility, can bear hardships, and are willing to struggle.

Dai Hancheng gave a special report on "Green Low Carbon Transformation: Opportunities and Challenges". Dai takes climate change and sustainable development as the starting point to analyze the current climate change mitigation measures and the opportunities and challenges facing them. He emphasized that the current work of pollution reduction and emission reduction is facing many challenges, difficult transformation of energy structure and other complex situations. The environmental personnel of Peking University have always been committed to exploring the breakthrough and promotion of advanced technologies for energy conservation and carbon reduction, so as to provide Peking University with strength for the high-quality development of green and low-carbon.

Zhuang Chen shares his research experience in the field of environmental economics, outlines the research hotspots in the frontier cross field of "green development", encourages students to think positively and make meaningful research in the motherland. The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out that achieving carbon peak and carbon neutralization is a broad and profound economic and social systematic change. The students said that in the future, they would be committed to combining professional skills, scientific research and economic development, and contributing to the development of a modern socialist country with the youth strength of Peking University.

Guan Li shared the theme of "giving play to Meituan's connection advantages and promoting the green transformation of the industry", introduced Meituan's exploration of sustainable development, and analyzed the environment-friendly process and green low-carbon development model of the takeout industry. Students exchanged views on Meituan big data system analysis, green cooperation and co construction model between schools and enterprises, etc. Guan Li said that school enterprise cooperation is a need for development under the new situation. The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China emphasized the need to strengthen the deep integration of industry, education and research, and looked forward to carrying out in-depth strategic cooperation with students of Peking University to provide enterprise strength for the innovation chain, industry chain, capital chain and talent chain.

Under the leadership of Guo Yuhui, the secretary of the Party branch of the students of the Department of Industrial Economics of the School of Economics, this joint construction exchange meeting carried out the 20 major thematic knowledge contests of the Party in the context of the "double carbon" strategic goal, and further promoted the combination of party building and specialty by answering the 20 major hot topics such as "carbon peak carbon neutral", "green, low-carbon development", and "Chinese path to modernization", guiding students to deeply understand the new ideas proposed by the 20 major conferences of the Party New judgment and new goal. The students said that in the form of competition promoting learning and being serious and lively, they could deeply understand the concept of regular learning and lifelong learning, integrate the knowledge of Party building into the depth of thought, and transform the learning achievements into an inexhaustible driving force for forging ahead.

Wang Qi made a concluding speech. He pointed out that the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward that "planning development from the height of harmonious coexistence of man and nature", and promoting green and low-carbon economic and social development is the key link to achieve high-quality development. He hoped that the students of the School of Environmental Science and Engineering and the School of Economics would actively respond to the call of the Party, focus on ecological civilization and green development, combine their own professional characteristics to explore a new mode of interdisciplinary integration, do a good job in science and technology fields such as pollution prevention and energy and industry and other economic fields, actively practice the development concept of "green water and green mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains" with practical actions, and devote themselves to the key areas of beautiful China and the dual carbon goals, Reflect youth responsibility and contribute youth strength to building a modern socialist country in the new era.

This year coincides with the 50th anniversary of the founding of the environmental discipline of Peking University and the 110th anniversary of the founding of the School of Economics. Under the leadership of the School of Environmental Science and Engineering and the School of Economics, the student party branches will continue to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, lead young party members to deeply understand the rich connotation of the Chinese path to modernization road, implement new development concepts, promote high-quality development process, work hard and make contributions for a long time, and contribute youth strength to the development of socialist modernization, Greet a new starting point and a new journey with confidence and self-reliance, write a new chapter in a new era with hot practice, embark on an expedition full of glory and dreams with youthful pride, and forge ahead bravely towards the second centennial goal with practical action!
